At ClipSight, we believe your data belongs to you. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the steps we take to keep it safe.

Data we collect

• Account information — email address and hashed password for authentication.
• Video content — files you upload for indexing. Stored encrypted at rest and deleted upon your request.
• Usage data — aggregate counts of uploads, queries, and downloads to power your dashboard.
• Feedback — messages you voluntarily submit through the dashboard.

How we use your data

• To provide and improve the ClipSight service.
• To display your usage statistics on your dashboard.
• To respond to feedback and support requests.

What we never do

• We never train AI models on your videos or data.
• We never sell or share your data with third parties.
• We never access your video content without your explicit action.

Security

ClipSight is SOC 2 Type II compliant. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. API keys are generated with cryptographically secure random bytes.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Upon deletion, all video content, indexes, and personal data are permanently removed within 30 days.
